Atina Hartunian is a first-generation Armenian-American creative writer with a passion for storytelling. She is an MFA graduate from Pacific University in Oregon in 2023. She received a Master of Fine Arts Merit Scholarship from Pacific University (2021).

She’s also received residencies from Pacific University Residency at Seaside, OR (Jan. 2020), Cambridge Writer’s Workshop, New Orleans, LA (March 2019), and a founding fellow of the Anaphora Writing Program Los Angeles, CA (June 2018).

Atina Hartunian is a prolific writer committed to exploring the human experience through her writing and constantly seeking new ways to challenge herself creatively. She believes life is too short for crappy coffee.

She is a native Los Angel-ian.


Atina Hartunian is also the behind-the-scenes ninja at Mher Vahakn Imagery— a Los Angeles Based Photography studio specializing in Professional Portraits, Product Photography, and Family Portraits.

From organizing timelines, editing images, and creating marketing strategies, she manages the studio and everything else that is not photo related.

Her absolute favorite part of what she does is working beside her husband.
